Can't stop
Do NOT let me flake out on the skirt from yesterday. I have ripped it out more than 5 times already. I don't know what is wrong with my brain. I HAVE to do this for Annie.
As for Squirrel Monkey... I WILL finish it one day.
One more thing
ANNIE AND TIM ARE ENGAGED!!!! I am going to be a MOTHER-IN-LAW!!!!!!!

Garage sale and knitting
This is one of the sweaters that I got at the garage sale. I forgot where it is from but it is from another country. I thought it needed a good home.
Here is another one. Sorry about the flash, California has decided to fire the sun because it wanted union wages or something.
I knit yesterday. I got quite a bit done.

Stuff
I got to work on my sweater yesterday so there is something to show you. I am loving this sweater. Mr Yarn! thought that I might need help when I bought a handmade sweater at a garage sale this weekend. He doesn't understand that I am saving the world one sweater at a time.
Our cat (well it really isn't MY cat it is Annie's cat) is flipped out and was sleeping in a fruit bowl.
Ew, I wish she wouldn't do that.

Um...ok, I bought more yarn
Lori and Monte and Peter and I went to the TKGA preview of the market last night. I told Lori that I wasn't going to buy ONE thing. I don't think she believed me and it is a good thing. So here it goes. What I bought part 9
I loved this jacket at Stitches and Twisted Sisters were all out of them. Not this time! We were the fist people to be in the market. I bought this in beautiful colors that I couldn't really show you.
I loved this jacket and HAD to have it. It is Cheryl Oberle's and she is a great designer. I love all of her stuff and her yarns are beautiful. She is also a really nice person. I can't wait to make this. It is called Three Sisters (hey I have a theme going here with the Sister thing. That reminds me that I have to call mine).
Next...
I met the people at Suss Designs and talked to them about carrying their yarns in my shop. I decided to test drive some of it. Hey they can't be all bad they are from my old "hood".
(sorry the picture sucks but I can't take it over. I DO have to get to work)
Last and kinda least I bought some Merino Tencel. It has a beautiful sheen and is Gossamer weight (Hi lace!)
Ok, there was one more thing that I bought a couple of days ago and I swear that this is it for the buying for another year. Well, uh, maybe not a year but we will see. I had to get this because ya know it is a part of history
It is the Yellow Big Collar. So it goes. Mr Yarn! I love you for never getting mad and if we start to starve because of my addiction we can always sell Pony rides on Lily. Either that or I could sell a sweater or two.

Sometimes there is nothin to say
So Lily is still thinking that maybe she didn't get the luckiest draw on earth for humans to live with. Afterall, if I am not feeding her she doesn't understand why I am near her with a camera bothering her. I love you Lily!
On the knitting front... this is pathetic but I am busy until next monday and not much is going to be going on with my at home knitting. This is what I have so far
Not real exciting. Then again, don't EVEN ask what is happening with shop knitting. Uh, lets leave it to say that I am being FORCED to go back to working on Squirrel Monkey and I ripped out my Jaywalker socks. I think some people are pushy (HI SARAH AND MOLLY love you guys, really do!) They told me that if I ripped out the sock because I didn't want to play anymore that I HAD to finish Squirrel Monkey.
Maybe I will do some secret knitting.

A clear winner
So, there is no question about it. A (Sirdal sweater) wins in the "what should I knit next" category. I started Sirdal last night but had to rip out because I didn't like how I did the steek. Pictures will be around when there is enough to show you. Until then I don't have anything to show you. Sorry.
Oh wait. I did just find out what kind of boot I am:
Uh, stupid but it is true.

My early birthday present
Mr Yarn! can't keep a secret. He blows it almost every time. I came home early from work yesterday and a Zappos box was on my porch. I knew what was in them since I had told Mr Yarn! that I wanted boots from there for my birthday. I love the boots and I love Mr. Yarn! (even if he can't keep a good secret. I find this an asset in a man). So, I got em! I love them!

The same old thing
I have no pictures to show you of anything I am knitting because I am still knitting on all the same stuff. I pulled the dog picture trick yesterday. I really have nothing to show or say. Oh did I tell you that it is still raining?

Monday
Lily looks like I feel today. I worked both days this weekend so today is my weekend. Both days of it. I do have stuff to do though. My first thought is I wanna sit around and knit on my "Big Collar" sweater. This is what the kitchen looks like after having friends over last night
I think I may be cleaning and doing laundry on this "weekend" day off. You can count on the fact that I will also be knitting.

Home today
I am taking today off. I have to work on Saturday and Sunday so
I decided that today would be the day that I do nothing. Well almost nothing. Have a great weekend!

Sirdal
Sirdal is a Dale of Norway sweater. This is going to be my next sweater. No, not in this size, in my size. I am also doing it in a dark Navy and not red. I just couldn't find a picture of it to show you in my color and size.
I am still plodding away on Squirrel Monkey at the shop. I am done with the back and have half of the front done. I am so close to putting it down and starting something else. I think I have spring fever. It is actually sunny outside today.

I don't usually do this but...
Yarn! will be having a sale on April 15th from 10:00-5:30. It is Yarn!'s 3 year anniversary. This is a balloon sale and everything is on sale except for Books, Notions, and Kits. You pop a balloon and get either 10, 20, 30 or 40% off. No special orders on Sale day. Hope that for those of you in town you can make it. Tell me that you saw this on my blog and I will give you an extra 5% off the sale price (shhh, don't tell Mr Yarn I said that).

More to grow
Mr Yarn surprised me and bought me carniverous plant SEEDS. How cool is that? Now I can wait on the edge of my seat to see if they will sprout!
He also bought other neat seeds like Epazote (a mexican spice) and some lemongrass (hear it grows like bamboo better be careful where we plant it) and nutmeg. I don't think I have ever seen nutmeg grow.

My new best friend
God, I love this sweater. I hate my camera because it takes crappy pictures but I LOVE my sweater. I don't even mind working on the miles of stockinette because the yarn is so soft and beautiful. I will be sad when I am done with this. Oh, wait! I have two more kits. I want to BEG Solvig to do more kits. Begging works doesn't it?
