Firefly
It was the most amazing thing I have seen in a long time. Just when I was getting so homesick I could hardly stand it, Rich called me outside to see something. There in the backyard were blinking lights that looked like magical little fairies. My first firefly sighting. I felt like I was 5 years old again. It was beautiful. I had to stop myself from running into the house to get a jar to catch them.

Wow -- that's amazing! I've never actually seen one life before but you're photo does justice to the little guy!
Oh, doh! That's not your photo -- it's from the fine people at National Geographic! Um. Nevermind. Fireflies are pretty. Move along now. Nothing here to see.
Wait, a firefly in CA? It's been so long since I read your blog, let alone any blogs. I had to check back to see if you had moved to the East Coast. I didn't think that fireflies existed on the West Coast.
Hope you are well. I need to do a lot of catch up to see what's been happening with you.
Miss ya... Keith
Yippee! Finally the fire flies are out. You lucky East-Coaster. Good for Rich for showing you the way.
