Ok, Mr Yarn come home now!

Yesterday was one of those days that you think that cosmic forces were against you. I got home from having a great dinner with Lori to find that the refrigerator and some of the lights were out. I guess something happened to the circuit breaker. Now I am no whimp. I lived alone for years, but it sucked. I went to the breaker box in the dark to try to find the answer. No luck. So, I had to drag out an extension cord to plug the refrig into another outlet. Fun.

Enough whinning. I turned on the TV to see the destruction of the hurricane. I sat there emotional and helpless. My heart breaks for all those people. I have no real reason to complain.

So, I finished the main part of the sweater that I am making for a friend. As irony is my witness, I can't upload the picture. Flickr won't let me this morning.

So, I am going to put a paperbag on my head and go into the shop. Pray for me that I don't stab myself with knitting needles.

Oh yeah, and I got off my tush and posted a job opening at the shop on Craigslist. Anyone know of anyone that wants a job in a yarn shop? Fun place.

Janis- remind me to yell you the story of my first night alone, after my husband & I seperated... talk about cosmic forces kicking your butt!!
And I still feel stupid that I didn't ask you if you were hiring before I got a job elsewhere. I would love to help out, & fill in wherever you need it.
I am such a dope, ha ha. :' )

You aren't the dope, *I* am. I should have been telling people that I am hiring. I was just sort of lazy during the summer because that is when it is slow. Thanks for the offer. I will most likely take you up on it!

I would damn near kill to come work for you right now as my job completely sucks ass and I can't even talk about it on my blog because my fucktard boss reads the damn thing. But alas, I don't want to move and I don't think the DH does either. So enough of my whining. But I feel your pain and am sharing in the cosmic shittiness of the week. Perhaps we need an exorcism, complete with plenty of tequila to banish the evil spirits.

Ah, man...if you could erase the Sunnyvale-to-Alameda traffic I'd totally be your employee. Doh.

I'm in! Well, if you don't mind me being sort of late some days. Seeing it's like um, a couple of days' drive ...
